The SysTools IMAP Migrator is an enterprise-grade utility designed to facilitate the transfer of email data between any two IMAP-enabled servers. It is commonly used by IT administrators for domain migrations, switching email service providers, or consolidating multiple user accounts.

Core Functionality

The tool creates a “1:1 replication” of mailboxes from a source IMAP server to a destination server. It supports all major platforms, including Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, Zoho, AOL, and private on-premise IMAP servers.

Key Features

  • Concurrent Migration: Allows administrators to migrate multiple user accounts simultaneously (using CSV mapping) to reduce total project time.

  • Delta Migration: An intelligent sync feature that identifies and transfers only newly arrived emails after the initial migration, preventing data duplication.

  • Data Integrity: Preserves the original folder hierarchy, email metadata (To, Cc, Bcc, Date), and the Read/Unread status of messages.

  • Selective Filtering: Includes a Date Filter to migrate emails from a specific time range and folder-level selection to exclude items like Spam or Trash.

  • Failsafe Options:

    • Retry Failed Items: Re-processes only the items that failed due to network drops.

    • Re-run Full Migration: Performs the entire migration again if needed.

    • Skip Migrated Items: Automatically ignores data already present in the destination.

How It Works (4-Step Process)

  1. Connect: Enter the IMAP credentials for both Source and Destination servers.

  2. Map: Use a CSV template to match source users to their new destination mailboxes.

  3. Filter: Set date ranges or specific folders to customize what data is moved.

  4. Launch: Initiate the process and track progress via a real-time dashboard that shows “In-Progress” and “Completed” counts.
